Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission are worldwide, non-political, non-sectarian spiritual organizations engaged in various forms of humanitarian, social service activities for more than a century. The Math and the Mission is presently running around 1200 educational institutions, including a Deemed University, Arts & Science Colleges, Teachers’ Training Institute, Polytechnics, and Higher Secondary Schools. Besides there are a good number of non-formal educational centres and coaching centres are being operated by them.
The Ramakrishna Math, Ramanathapuram is a newly started Math branch, brought to existence on 21 May, 2016, where Swami Vivekananda had stayed during his return to India. Inspired by the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, the Math branch has extended its educational service in the place of Naagachi, Uchipuli Post, Ramanathapuram, where the new expansion is taking place.
